YUM! 😋 This is a hidden gem and I'm shocked after living here for 6+ years I haven't visited sooner. Food is high quality / from scratch, rotating specials, good portions, reasonable prices. It's now moved into the "regular" rotation category. Oh, and if you like fried okra, get it while it's on the seasonal side menu. Outstanding!

Another food bust. We have been having such bad luck lately. Again, we do not typically have issues with Hog Leg. My husband and I both ordered loaded pork potatoes. We both had "mystery meat" in it. Almost seemed like it was in Alfredo sauce? Texture was kind of slimy 😬 Maybe we got someone else's order. Or maybe we got a mix of something. It was not appetizing, but we will be back to try again!

Two visits (second one was a second chance) Chicken is perfect. Sweet potatoes are excellent. Pulled pork is decent. Staff is friendly. Ribs were dry, maybe old. Perhaps getting a to-go order isn’t the best option. Got a side order of butter for sweet potatoes and they didn’t even put a 1c cap on the plastic ramekin. Melted butter everywhere. It doesn’t take good on chicken. I might try one more time. But I’ll dine in. Sent first rant via fb messengers it was ignored. Normally don’t complain Posting this in case it wasn’t the owners handling the two orders I’ve made over the past two weeks. Good luck. I think there’s potential. Maybe I have bad luck.

Stopped by Hog Leg Barbeque and ordered the Field Goal plate, which came with pulled pork, chicken, one rib, and two sides. I chose baked beans and mac & cheese. I was actually drawn in specifically for the gumbo, but unfortunately it wasn’t available during my visit, not a dealbreaker, but worth mentioning since it influenced my stop. One small note: the ice machine was down, and ice was being served from a Yeti cooler instead. Not a huge issue, just something noticeable. The chicken was the standout! Tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Easily the best meat on the plate. There were also several sauces available, which I appreciated. The BBQ sauce itself was sweet and smoky with a mild tang, though a bit thinner than I prefer. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was hit-or-miss. The rib had good flavor, but it was very chewy and still had a lot of membrane, which made it tough to enjoy. The pulled pork was mediocre and a bit greasy, and the baked beans lacked seasoning — they tasted more like plain pintos, with several beans having a burnt flavor. The mac & cheese was okay, but nothing memorable. That said, the service was excellent — very friendly, personable, and welcoming. The a
